Trinity Road School, Chelmsford, Essex
Client: Morgan Sindall Group
Contract Value: Circa £400k
Duration: 20 weeks
Project Description
Secured through competitive tender, this comprehensive groundworks package involved the construction of a new school building within a busy, live educational environment
To address gas protection requirements, we removed made ground across the oversite areas, preparing the footprint for the installation of traditional strip foundations and a suspended block and beam floor system
The scope included the installation of a new surface water attenuation tank and associated drainage, carefully positioned beneath an existing playground and integrated into the wider site network. We also managed the complex off-site foul water sewer connection, coordinating directly with the local authority to secure the relevant Section 50 and Section 106 licenses.

- In order to meet client environmental considerations, no diesel was utilised in the work and EJT utilised HVO Green D+ alternative fuel for all construction plant.
- EJ Taylor were awarded ‘Perfect Delivery’ by the main contractor Morgan Sindall, for our performance on this project.
