Clifton Hatch, Harlow, Essex
Client: Bouygues UK
Contract Value: Circa £100k
Duration: 10 weeks
Project Description
EJT was commissioned to deliver essential highway remedial works required to secure formal S38 and S278 adoption. Several years after the original installation by a previous contractor, we were brought in to bring the infrastructure up to the exacting standards required by Essex Highways.
The scope of works involved junction and footpath resurfacing, kerb replacements, and the relaying of block paving. We also handled the necessary detail work to ensure full compliance, including resetting manhole covers and adjusting levels at tactile pedestrian crossings to meet current safety standards.
More about the scheme
- Works were carried out across several locations within Clifton Hatch. Throughout the project, we ensured work areas remained safe and accessible for both pedestrians and vehicles at all times.
- We liaised directly with Essex Highways and their inspectors to maintain clear communication at every stage. This ensured the works were completed to a high standard and met all the necessary requirements for adoption.
- Following successful completion, we were appointed by Bouygues to undertake a similar scheme at their nearby site in Cartel Mead, Harlow.
