Tendered on specification and drawings. Brownfield development of 278 works, private roads, off-site footpaths, drainage, mains services and service diversions to facilitate the construction of 22 new residential homes. Built in an area of outstanding beauty, the housing along with the roads and external works is designed to blend into its built environment to appear as though it has been long standing.

The scheme included

  • The roads are private, construction to base course in conjunction with Essex Highways on a unilateral undertaking
  • The drainage is private, constructed using PCC manholes and plastic pipe to a maximum depth of 2.5mm and pipe diameter of 450mm
  • Surface Water SUDS design involved the installation of a 120m3 attenuation tank and attenuation basin with associated headwalls and flow control device
  • Foul water is gravity fed to a 4.0m Ø Klargester tank whereby it’s treated before being pumped back into the surface water drainage system
