Harwich Quay – Public Realm Improvements

Project Description

Public realm highway and footway works throughout Harwich Quay including; Highway surfacing plane out and asphalt reinstatement; Kerb renewals and realignments (granite materials);  Installation of new street furniture. 

All works were undertaken in accordance with the testing regimes of Essex County Highways.

Phased to have minimal public and local business disruption, where businesses remained operational during their opening hours and highway disruption kept to a minimum, extensive pedestrian management, full time Traffic Management Operative, full time Resident / Business Liaison Operative, and out of hours emergency calls.
