Gender Pay Figures 2018

We report on our Gender Pay in line with the Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017.

The following is based on the year 2017/2018 and the results are as follows:

Lower Middle Quartile Female 6% / Male 94%
Upper Middle Quartile Female 3% / Male 97%
Upper Middle Quartile Female 12% / Male 88%

EJ Taylor & Sons Ltd operates within the male dominated Construction Industry with far fewer females than males applying for roles within the company. We employ 1 female to every 8 males across the Company, with the number of females working out on site growing very slowly. Within our management team the ratio has improved against the 2017 figures, from 1 in 5 to 1 in 3. All applicants are assessed, and jobs awarded, on the basis of the individual’s skills. The ability of each individual to earn more is determined by their own success within their role and all employees are encouraged to strive to reach their full potential.

We operate pay bandings for different roles within the company and those within the same bandings will be earning in line with each other - any pay gap differences are due to differing roles and bandings.
